Yes, the Chronoclassic 2 is built with universal fitment and is CAN-bus compatible. For fuel-injected BMWs, it integrates directly. For non-fuel injected models, you may require a Motoscope Breakout Box (models 936577 or 936578). We recommend checking compatibility with your specific model year before ordering.
When switched off, the dial displays only a completely black face with no visible LEDs or illumination. This creates an authentic classic instrument appearance, making it impossible to tell it's a modern electronic gauge. The analogue RPM needle is still visible in this state.
Yes, the shift light is fully adjustable from 0 to 20,000 RPM. This allows you to set the RPM threshold at which the shift light activates, customized to your engine characteristics and riding style. Adjustment is performed via button controls on the gauge.
The Chronoclassic 2 features automatic brightness adjustment for both the illuminated pointer backlight and the 512 red LED matrix. The display automatically dims in low-light conditions and brightens in direct sunlight, ensuring optimal readability at all times without manual adjustment.
The top line displays gear position and speed/RPM. The bottom line shows additional metrics that are selectable via button controls, including trip data (Trip A or Trip B), and other engine parameters. This two-line system gives you complete control over which information is most important to you.
A Motoscope Breakout Box is required only for non-fuel injected motorcycles to properly run the indicator lights. Fuel-injected motorcycles with CAN-bus systems typically do not require one. We offer two variants: 936577 (H-D J1850) for Harley-Davidsons and 936578 (Universal) for other applications. Verify your motorcycle's specifications to confirm.
The Chronoclassic 2 features 11 indicator lights: immobilizer/alarm (Plug & Ride only), reserve fuel, oil temperature/water temperature, engine control/MIL/ABS/ASR (Plug & Ride only), oil pressure, left turn signal, right turn signal, high beam, neutral, and a universal warning light.
