All about shock absorbers
Which twin shocks fit my motorcycle? Twin shocks are a pair of rear shocks, one on the left and one on the right. Pick your make, model and year in the bike selector and you only see the pairs that fit. The range is mostly for BMW right now.
Twin shocks belong on bikes with two rear shocks, often classics. There are over 120 products from YSS and Hagon, with lengths from about 270 to 470 mm. Some are length adjustable, and with custom builds you choose a length within a range.
Measure length from the centre of one mounting eye to the centre of the other, preferably on the shock that is on the bike now. Also check the top and bottom mounts, they have to suit your bike.
About ABE: some twin shocks have an ABE with a KBA number, but many are custom builds assessed by TÜV without a model specific ABE. If nothing is shown, the status is not confirmed yet.
Frequently asked questions
Which twin shocks fit my motorcycle?
Pick your make, model and year in the bike selector. You then only see the pairs listed for your bike. If your bike is not there, ask us before you order.
Are twin shocks sold as a pair?
Yes, twin shocks are a pair for the rear, one left and one right. Always replace them together so both sides work the same.
How do I choose the right length?
Measure from the centre of one mounting eye to the other on the shock that is on the bike now. Choose the same length, or an adjustable shock whose range covers it. With custom builds you choose within the stated range.
Do twin shocks have an ABE?
Some do, with the KBA number on the product. Many are custom builds assessed by TÜV without a model specific ABE. If nothing is shown, the status is not confirmed yet.
When should I replace twin shocks?
When they leak oil, when the bike bottoms out or keeps bouncing, or when damping feels softer than it used to. Always do it as a pair.
